You may not hear from me often, team, so when I do reach out, you know it’s important.

The 2022 midterm elections are just 15 days away, but my team tells me we’re tracking short of our final monthly goal. How we finish October will indicate clearly to Republicans if we have what it takes to keep Delaware blue up and down the ballot.

I can’t afford to fall short, not when people are counting on our race to drive enough Democrats to the polls to win big. That’s why I’m reaching out right now.

October is winding down fast, and we are running out of time to reach voters and make our mark. My finance team tells me we need to raise $1,000 before midnight to start this week off right. Can I count on your $10 or whatever you can afford before midnight hits? I need your help now, more than ever, team.

Folks, I want you to understand why this race is so important to me.

Our country is at a crossroads. On one side, you have Democrats who are striving to move our country forward. From advancements to our nation’s infrastructure, to lowering costs of health care and prescription drugs, to helping create good-paying jobs and getting our economy back on track after the devastating effects of the pandemic, we are continuing to move toward progress.

Yet we are also faced with an agenda from Republicans in Congress that promises to move our country drastically backward. If they take back the House, they have all but ensured our reproductive rights, our advancements against the climate crisis, and even our most sacred right to vote are on the chopping block.

Our country deserves leadership that looks toward the future, and electing Democrats up and down the ballot is the best way to ensure we get just that.

Unfortunately, helping Democrats hold the line in order to keep our progress running means I have to ask for your hard-earned dollars to fund our efforts. Team, I know that together, we have what it takes to keep the Republicans at bay, but it all hinges on us hitting every goal from now until Election Day.

I’m asking you to dig deep, folks, and stand by as we strive to keep our progress moving forward, not backward. Please, can I count on your $10 and your support in these final days so we can guarantee Delaware stays blue?
