The United States is facing a maternal mortality crisis. We have the worst maternal mortality rate of any high-income country, and recent CDC data found that Black women are nearly three times more likely to die than white women during pregnancy, childbirth, or a year following childbirth.

We need your help to urge Members of Congress to include critical maternal health equity investments in final year-end legislation. 

Tell Congress: Support the Momnibus Act and Medicaid Postpartum Coverage

Ask your Members of Congress to sign on to a letter to House and Senate Leadership urging them to include the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act and permanent year-long postpartum Medicaid coverage for every state in the final appropriations bill this year. 

These measures would ensure expanded access to the care people need in the postpartum period and address multiple aspects of the growing maternal health crisis in the U.S.
