Brothers, sisters, and siblings -- this is Rick Levy, President of the
Texas AFL-CIO.
Right now, our 240,000 union members are all in to elect Beto O’Rourke as
the next governor of Texas -- because he stands with working people. New
polling shows Beto can defeat Greg Abbott, and we are doing everything in
our power to make that happen.
Democracy is under attack in our country and in our workplace. The rules
are in serious need of being rewritten -- and Beto has a pro-worker plan
to get that done.
[ [link removed] ]John, will you split a donation between Beto's campaign and
the PCCC to defeat Greg Abbott and elect Beto O'Rourke?
Whether we work the early shift or the late shift, our teachers,
firefighters, farmworkers, doctors and nurses, steelworkers and stagehands
organizing like hell for Beto because he will:
* Pursue the Texas Climate Jobs Project -- which was literally written
by steelworkers, pipefitters, electricians, and plumbers -- to create
over 1 million union jobs to power our state and country into a
sustainable future
* Resist the extremist attacks on reproductive rights, which are central
to the lives of working families
* Fully fund a public education system that respects educators, allows
them to teach the truth, and pays them what they deserve
* End the diversionary attacks on immigrants, trans kids, and anyone who
doesn’t feed at Greg Abbott’s corporate trough
Our members are out there in the field working hard to reach every voter
across this state, but it’s going to take all of us to change the
direction in Texas.

Together, we can rewrite the rules and set a new course. This is our

next governor of Texas.
