John, I am incredibly proud to call Delaware my home. I built my life here, raised my family here, and fell in love with this state in the process.

In my time here, I've had the unique privilege of serving Delaware in public office – as State Treasurer, Representative, Governor, and Senator. Throughout my years of public service, so much has changed.

It's been an honor to witness and play a role in the amazing progress for our country. I voted in favor of the Affordable Care Act, which revolutionized our health care system and brought quality care to millions of Americans. I helped bring our country back from the pits of the recession, revitalizing communities all across our country and giving financial security and hope back to families. And I've led our efforts to combat climate change head on, so that we can leave a healthy planet behind for future generations.

So much has changed, but one thing that hasn’t changed is my unwavering belief that public service can make tomorrow better than today for our children, for our community, and for our nation.

I believe wholeheartedly in the promise of America and in the possibility of what we can still achieve. None of these victories happened overnight. They took long hours, tough decisions, relentless work, and real grit. And more than anything else, they took folks like you, standing up to demand a better future.

Now, as anti-democratic extremists threaten to turn back the clock in America and undo so much of the progress we've made, we must rise to the occasion again. Please, will you make a grassroots donation of $5 or more before tonight's midnight deadline to defend our Senate majority and continue to move our country forward? I promise that I will fight for your future, but I need you to stand with me.
