Friend,
You may have seen our announcement last week that registration is now open for the Summit for Religious Freedom (SRF) in April 2023! We know that attending a conference in person or virtually can be financially out of reach for many. That’s why we’re excited to offer scholarships to cover registration, travel, and/or hotel.
Learn more about how to apply for a scholarship if you are not able to attend SRF without financial assistance – the priority deadline is November 21.
Americans United is committed to making SRF as accessible as possible, to as many people as possible, to reflect the diversity of the movement needed to preserve freedom without favor and equality without exception. SRF is the hub for our collective fight for religious freedom, church-state separation and the issues that depend on them like LGBTQ+ equality, reproductive rights, protecting public schools and more. It’s a big tent – we’re welcoming everyone from longtime advocates to those just discovering the issue and its critical role in protecting our democracy, our equality and our rights.
Join the fight for religious freedom – apply now for a scholarship to attend SRF!
Scholarships are available for those who otherwise would not be able to afford to attend, with a number of those scholarships reserved specifically for young people under age 25. You can apply for a scholarship to cover registration to attend in Washington, D.C., or virtually, and if you plan to attend in D.C., scholarships are also available for travel and hotel costs.
The priority deadline for scholarship applications to attend SRF in person is November 21, 2022, so apply soon. Applicants may still be considered after the deadline on a rolling basis, but you are strongly encouraged to apply before November 21 in order to guarantee consideration. Applications to attend virtually will be accepted into early 2023.
Be sure to share the scholarship application with a friend, too! SRF is for everyone. We're a home for policy wizards, legal maestros, academic geniuses, kick-ass organizers and volunteer masterminds, as well as brilliant political, religious and non-religious leaders. It is a place for teaching and learning, organizing and advocacy, thought leadership and lessons learned, and bringing our community together for the fight of our lives.
See you at SRF!
