I need you to pitch in $5 to help us protect abortion rights in Michigan. Let me explain.

As the former President of Planned Parenthood, I know exactly what’s at stake with Proposal 3 on the ballot this November.

1. #YesOn3 will stop an extreme 1931 abortion ban that will outlaw abortion in all circumstances – including rape and danger to the woman’s health.

2. #YesOn3 will codify a woman’s fundamental right to make decisions about prenatal care, childbirth, contraception, miscarriage, and infertility care.

3. And most importantly, #YesOn3 will send a resounding message to politicians that our reproductive freedoms are NOT up for debate.

Please believe what I’m about to say, John.

With this much on the line, our opponents will stop at nothing to prevent our movement from making it past the finish line this November.

John, in these final few weeks, we’re going to need every bit of momentum we can muster to ensure that Michigan can protect abortion rights this Election Day. But with the stakes this high, we can’t stand up to anti-abortion groups without your support. Anti-abortion groups across the country will be watching the outcome of our election.

If we pass #YesOn3, we will keep in place the abortion rights we’ve had in Michigan for the last 50 years and show national anti-abortion groups they can’t take away our rights.

But if we let deep-pocketed groups roll back the clock on abortion rights in Michigan, they’ll take it as a sign that it’s safe to attack any of our fundamental rights.
