Friend,

Swapping scary stories this Halloween? You may not have heard one of the most frightening – according to EWG’s Food Scores database, Red No. 3 is found in over 2,000 packaged foods, from snack cakes and bacon bits to your kids’ favorite kinds of Halloween candy.

Synthetic dyes like Red No. 3 have been linked to cancer in animals, behavioral difficulties in children and damage to children’s brain health. But the FDA refuses to even review the latest science, allowing hazardous additives like Red. No 3 to continue harming our children. Outrageous!

EWG is fighting to get all health-harming additives and synthetic dyes like Red No. 3 out of our food, but we need your help to do it. Do you have time to complete our short survey before midnight tonight? Your response will help EWG take a stand against Red No. 3 and other harmful food additives.

Thanks for taking action, friend.
