Levy Demands Accountability for the Biden-Blumenthal Fentanyl Crisis Putting CT Kids at Risk
GREENWICH, CT - State officials recently revealed 8 infants from Connecticut have died from fentanyl intoxication and over 2 dozen under the age of 5 have survived after being poisoned by the drug since 2020. Late last week, 12,000 fentanyl pills were discovered in candy boxes at LAX airport while 300,000 rainbow fentanyl pills were discovered in a New York City bust, marking the city’s largest fentanyl seizure in history - a record that was previously surpassed the month prior.
Leora Levy, a political outsider running for U.S. Senate, issued a statement lambasting Biden and Blumenthal’s open borders.
“Biden and Blumenthal’s open border has destroyed families and tragically cost countless American lives. Fentanyl is a scourge on our communities that has been allowed to fester through the indifference of career politicians like Dick Blumenthal. He refuses to acknowledge the reality of the situation - his open border policies are what allow this deadly drug to flood into our communities and tear us apart from the inside out.
“Connecticut families deserve more. We deserve a leader that will stand up for our children and actually be accountable to the great people of our state. On November 8th, the people of Connecticut are going to demand I go to Washington to vote to secure our border and put a stop to these drugs that are pouring into our community.”
