The Amari family barely escaped with their lives from Aleppo, Syria. Then, they were denied entry to the U.S. because of President Trump’s first Muslim ban.
When our team first met them on a research trip to Lebanon last year, they were stuck — completely uncertain about their future and terrified for their safety and wellbeing.
Now, they are making a new home in Virginia -- where they thanked us (and you!) for all of our support.
