Dear?John,
Second unelected Prime Minister of 2022
announced.
We write to you with not very significant news.
After being
the only candidate in the Conservative Party leadership contest not to
withdraw, Rishi Sunak has become the Prime Minister of the United
Kingdom.
Not through any democratic vote. Not even from members of the
Conservative party voting.
?
While it might be tempting to think this is a big moment, in
reality it isn't. It changes nothing.
It doesn't fix the myriad of crises our country is facing, and
it doesn't even fix the Conservative party who have spent the morning
attacking
each other right up to the announcement.
- Our health service remains underfunded.
- Millions of people's mortgage rates remain permanently inflated,
and possibly unaffordable.
- We're no closer to fixing our trade problems with Europe.
- And the United Kingdom remains embarrassed on the world
stage.
We know it isn't good enough. You know it isn't good enough.
?
We'll be sure to write to you when something notable happens, or
when we need you to spring into action in the ways we can always rely
on you to.
?
Very best,?

Operations, Best for Britain
