** Census 2020
------------------------------------------------------------
* If you haven't already signed up to help with the Census ([link removed]) , now's the time. Action Together New Jersey Education Fund ([link removed]) (a non-partisan, educational offshoot of ATNJ) has partnered with the US Census Bureau to educate the public about the 2020 Census and try to get an accurate count in New Jersey. To do this, we're offering free training to all of our interested volunteers.
The goal of this training is to help as many volunteers as possible learn how to do things such as hold their own informational meetings, staff tables at local community centers or events, or post flyers to help educate the public. As much or as little as you can do, we'll take all the help we can get!
On Monday, January 6th from 7:30-8:30 pm we'll be holding a webinar to train anyone who wants to help. All you need is a phone to dial in and a computer to watch the slides on.
Can't make that time? The webinar will be recorded to watch later, so sign up to be notified when it's ready.
This is non-partisan work, open to all who are interested in a full Census count in New Jersey. Sign up today and join us next Monday ([link removed]) as we get started!

* Following the training mentioned above, over the next few months local ATNJ chapters will be holding informational sessions on the 2020 Census. Scroll down to the Upcoming Events section of each newsletter to find the latest ones (Look for "Census 2020" - new ones will be added as they are scheduled). Scroll up to the top of this newsletter if you want to learn how to hold your own session.

* There aren't a lot of details yet, but the State of NJ is also partnering with Census 2020 for training. There are currently three dates to choose from, in North, Central and South Jersey. Sign up here ([link removed]) and they will send more information as they have it.

** Take Action!
------------------------------------------------------------
* If you shop at Amazon, you can help support Action Together New Jersey Educational Fund with each purchase. Just log on to smile.amazon.com ([link removed]) , then on the upper right side of the page, click on Accounts and Lists. From there pick Your Amazon Smile and search for ATNJEF to choose as your charity. After that, every time you log into amazon through smile, some of your purchase will be donated to ATNJ Educational Fund ([link removed]) to help us continue to educate the public and change things for the better in New Jersey!

* With this easy form from NJ Institute for Social Justice ([link removed]) , you can email, tweet or call your legislators and ask them to help support the New Jersey Youth Justice Transformation Act and help children instead of jailing them.
You can also sign up for any of three Community Listening Sessions about Youth Justice in New Jersey ([link removed]) where you can learn from speakers - or speak on the issue yourself.
