John, sorry to bother on a Sunday, but I just finished my last debate of the election, and got an urgent update from my fundraising team.

Our last and most important public reporting deadline of the election is at 11:59 pm tomorrow, and we’re still trailing our goal by about $43,000.

I’ll explain more in a moment, but every minute counts right now, so I’m going to ask right up front: Will you chip in $10, $25, $50, or whatever makes sense for you to help us make up the difference?

As Attorney General, I’ve been fighting to help people afford their lives and live with dignity, safety, and respect – especially when they have nowhere else to turn for help.

My Republican opponent, Jim Schultz, is a hedge fund lawyer with zero courtroom experience who vowed to “go on offense” attacking reproductive freedom in Minnesota and said he would "take a sledgehammer" to our work protecting consumers from predatory opioid, tobacco, and drug companies.

But even though Schultz is out of touch and unqualified for the job, here’s what we’re up against:

- A recent poll from The Trafalgar Group shows me trailing my anti-choice hedge fund lawyer Republican opponent by FIVE POINTS.

- POLITICO is calling me "Minnesota’s Most Vulnerable Progressive."

- Fundraising numbers show we were outraised by Schultz during the last public reporting period.

John, I won with the smallest margin of any Minnesota statewide candidate in 2018, and every indication is this race will be even closer.

After our last public fundraising deadline of the election tomorrow night, every election analyst, pundit, and GOP mega donor in the country will be waiting to dig through our report so they can gauge the strength in the final days of the race. If we get outraised again, we won’t regain our momentum by Election Day.
