Hi folks, it’s Susie Lee.

I wanted to reach out before this week because, frankly, it’s going to get hectic. We’re approaching the final end-of-month fundraising deadline for our campaign, and there are so many others across the country who will be competing for your support.

Let me take a moment to tell you why I’d be honored if you made my campaign the one you support ahead of this week. Then, I’m going to ask you to chip in as much as you can to help me win my nail-bitingly close race.

I ran for Congress in 2018 because Nevada needed a fighter representing them. Since then, we’ve been able to accomplish so much. Passing legislation in the House to safeguard LGBTQ+ rights, shoring up our state’s water security, protecting reproductive rights under federal law, and so much more.

I’m so proud to have been on the frontlines to fight for all of these things.

Now, I’m running for re-election for two big reasons:

1. I know my work serving Nevadans in Congress isn’t done – there’s still so much more left to accomplish.
2. I believe in protecting our democracy and my far-right opponent is working to undermine it.

My opponent April Becker is one of the most radical Republicans running for Congress this year. She’s received endorsements from national anti-choice organizations who want a national abortion ban without exceptions. Becker has also sued to overturn the results of her previous State Senate election not once, but twice.

I don’t take it lightly when I say this: April Becker is a clear and present danger to our democracy. We cannot allow people like her to grow the conspiracy caucus that already exists on the Republican side of the aisle.

Recent polls have shown that April Becker and I are neck and neck in this race. FiveThirtyEight’s forecasting model even showed that if Becker wins, Democrats' chances of keeping the House virtually disappear.

This race is too close for comfort and it’s on the radar of pundits and forecasters across the country to tell which way the House will split. If we want to keep our Democratic House majority, I need you in this fight with me.

Will you step up and help me hold this seat – and our House majority – by chipping in however much you can afford to defeat April Becker? We’re approaching the finish line in this race and your support matters immensely.
