Last year, Senate Republicans filibustered the Freedom to Vote Act. This bill would have strengthened election security and integrity, making it easier to register and harder for dark money to find its way into our politics. The truth is, if we fail to keep the House and Senate blue next month, we’re going to face even more of this partisan obstructionism.

The right to vote is fundamental, and it’s just one of many things that the election this November is about. Protecting a woman’s right to choose, bringing high-paying manufacturing jobs back to the U.S., preserving our children’s future by fighting climate change – these are just a few of the major battles that our Congress will face in the next couple of years.

That’s why it’s so important that we do everything we can to support our candidates this midterm election season, and it’s why I’m writing to you now. Here in Virginia, the DPVA is on the front lines of turning out voters to hold our majority in the House.
