John, Georgia is currently grappling with the pending closure of Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. This is the result of backward Republican policies (such as failing to expand Medicaid), and it's a reminder that we need to hold anti-healthcare politicians accountable this coming Election Day.
Chris Carr is one such politician. If he had his way, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) would have been dismantled — putting hundreds of thousands of Georgians at risk of losing their insurance coverage.
Will you help us meet our goal ahead of our final public fundraising deadline so that we have the resources to inform voters of Carr's anti-healthcare history? We're $12,917 away from our goal, and we have just 48 hours to make up the difference.

As Georgia’s Attorney General, Chris Carr signed on to a lawsuit to strike down the ACA (this case, after several years, made it all the way to the Supreme Court). And when a lower court first ruled against the ACA and put the healthcare for millions of Georgians in jeopardy, Carr publicly celebrated the news.
In his filing, he effectively argued that more Georgians getting healthcare coverage "harmed" our state. Carr has never had to worry about getting affordable coverage because he has spent almost his entire working life as a government employee with access to great benefits.
This shows just how out of touch he is, and how misplaced his priorities are.
It's time Georgians had an Attorney General committed to protecting their healthcare, not taking it away. As an attorney, Jen took on a big insurance company when it refused to cover a patient with a preexisting condition. Her work informs her priorities and her commitment to always fight for access and fairness in healthcare.
As Georgians cast their votes, we need to make sure they don't forget Carr's efforts to dismantle the ACA. Chip in now so that we have the resources to keep exposing his record →
Thanks so much,
Team Jen
Democratic State Senator Jen Jordan (pronounced Jer-Dun) has spent her legal career fighting for Georgians. Because of her real-life experience in the courtroom and out of it, Jen knows that now, more than ever, we need an Attorney General who will take a stand and fight for the rights of each and every Georgian.
