Team, we’ve reached the final-final stretch to Election Day, with just over two weeks left in the midterms.
Before this busy week begins, I wanted to send you a quick note to let you know how much I appreciate you. From reading my (admittedly frequent!) emails to sharing your time, effort, and donations with this organization to drive our work, you are such an important part of this team, and I hope you know how grateful I am for that. The work of standing up to Trump’s MAGA machine is intense and can feel awfully terrifying sometimes. Knowing that people like you are in this fight alongside me helps keep me going in the hardest moments.
Look, the work ahead is going to be tough. We’ve got a lot to do across several key states, and the clock is ticking on our ability to fund and execute all of it.
But because of what I’ve seen from this team over the past six months, there’s not a doubt in my mind that we can get it all done — as long as we keep working together.
Tonight, I hope you’re able to take a breath and reflect on why we’re fighting so hard to defend our elections from Donald Trump’s despicable interference. For me, it’s because I swore an oath many years ago to defend our country from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Maybe it’s the same for you. Maybe it’s so our kids grow up in the nation of democratic ideals that they deserve. Or maybe it’s simply because it’s the right thing to do.
No matter what, I’m so glad that you’re by my side. Now, let’s go get the job done.
