Before you read this, I’d just like to thank you in advance for the support you’ve given me this year. I know we’ve been calling, emailing, and texting you more than ever. But the truth is, this year's midterms are the biggest of our lifetime, and I can’t afford to miss my next fundraising deadline.
Coming from humble beginnings, I’ve learned how much a dollar is really worth. Before I ask for your support, I want to take you through my journey to the Senate and explain why your help in this election is so important.

Growing up in a poor, single-parent household in North Charleston, South Carolina, I grew accustomed to moving every few years, as well as the long hours my mom worked to keep a roof over our heads. After failing four classes during my freshman year of high school, my path forward was murky at best.
But thankfully, I had a mother who stuck with me and met a mentor that showed me the wisdom of conservative principles. Through our belief and my determination, I got my grades back on track, graduated from Charleston Southern University, and eventually built my own successful small business.

Through the lessons taught by my mentor, I developed a mission statement: to positively affect the lives of a billion people. That led me to public service, where I was elected to the Charleston County Council, the South Carolina House of Representatives, the United States House of Representatives, and the United States Senate.
Since joining the Senate in 2013, I’ve been a national leader in efforts to bring opportunity to every American family. The American Dream is what got me to Congress, and it’s what I’ve dedicated my time in office to protect.
But now, the same American Dream that took me from Cotton to Congress is in jeopardy. Within the last 2 years, Radical Democrats in the Senate have forced through progressive policies that have all but destroyed that dream for millions of Americans.
These midterms are our LAST chance to protect the American Dream. If Democrats hold their majority, America will never be the same. The American Dream as we know it will be destroyed.
If we want to win the Senate majority and protect this country, it will come down to what humble conservatives like you do in the next few hours.
My biggest and last fundraising deadline before the election is at midnight, and I’m still $37,000 behind my goal. If I don’t reach my goal, I’m afraid the Democrats will vastly out-raise us, and they’ll keep the Senate.
