There’s a reason corporate media doesn’t cover the solutions that are out there.

Friend,

These are dark days in the world. If you’re feeling anxious, stressed, or just demoralized, you’re not alone.

Democracy is hanging by a thread across the globe. A broiling planet is in the midst of climate catastrophe. There's no sign of peace and threats of nuclear war in Ukraine. Abortion is banned and the rollback of key rights is underway nationwide. Fascism is knocking on the door.

In times like this, people need to hear about solutions, not just problems. And here’s the thing: There ARE solutions. It’s just not in the interest of the corporate media to inform viewers about the source of these threats or how to truly combat them.

The corporate media exists to sell ads, post profits, and largely maintain the status quo while making their wealthy investors rich. Common Dreams is a media outlet that exists to make the world a better place: To inform. To inspire. And to ignite change for the common good.

Now more than ever, that’s what the world needs.

That’s why we’re asking readers: Will you donate to help reach our Fall Campaign goal? Whether you can afford $5, $27, $50, or more—it all adds up and makes what we do possible.

Thank you,
