Dear Georgian,

America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) is designed to protect our energy supply and economy in times of emergency or disaster. President Biden announced last week that he is releasing another 15 million barrels of oil from the SPR to combat the higher gas prices that he created. Biden has drained and sold off over 200 million barrels of oil from the SPR while in office, which is nearly 40% of the total supply.

President Biden has drained more from the SPR than all other presidents combined, and our reserves are now at the lowest level since 1984. Draining the SPR for political purposes is unprecedented and dangerous, and the Biden Administration should be held accountable for their disastrous energy policies.

Attending the Change of Command Ceremony at Robins AFB

I was honored to recently attend the Change of Command Ceremony of the 116th Air Control Wing at Robins AFB. Colonel Amy D. Holbeck relinquished command to Colonel Christopher M. Dunlap, who will serve our base and country well. We are blessed to have our nation’s finest airmen in Georgia’s Eighth District!

Bringing Back American Energy

The Biden Administration has hindered all domestic oil and gas production and willingly given our country's energy independence to our foreign adversaries in the OPEC Cartel. As a result, our nation is less secure, and gas is more expensive.

These extremist policies from the administration are hurting middle and low-income families daily, and it is imperative that we resume all American energy production. I joined colleagues in sending a letter to President Biden demanding that he stop his war on American energy.

The energy produced in the U.S. is not only cost-effective but regulated by better standards than abroad.

Our nation is in a recession, has record inflation, is over $30 trillion in debt, and Biden's State Department gave several thousand dollars to a program in Ecuador to fund "drag queen workshops."
