My opponent, Allan Fung, claimed at the debate earlier this week that he's against cuts to Social Security.

JOHN,

My opponent, Allan Fung, claimed at the debate earlier this week that he's against cuts to Social Security. That's disingenuous of him to say, and here's why:

Fung has made it clear he's in lockstep with Kevin McCarthy. For his loyalty to Republicans' extreme agenda, McCarthy has fundraised for Fung, listed him as a top-tier member of his "Young Guns" program, and poured over $2 million into this race to attack me.

If Fung helps Republicans retake the House in November, one of McCarthy's top priorities is gutting our earned benefits like Social Security and Medicare. House Republicans have already even went so far as threatening to shut down the government in order to make that happen.

Fung standing by McCarthy while claiming he won't cut Social Security is like putting a fox in charge of the henhouse, then saying "don't worry – I like hens, I'm pro-hens."

With the future of Social Security and Medicare on the ballot this November, we can't afford Allan Fung in Congress. But we need your help to keep this seat and our House majority blue.

Will you chip in $10 or more right away to help us keep Rhode Island's 2nd District blue and protect Social Security?
