My friend Cori Bush is a battle-tested warrior in the fight for reproductive rights in America.
In the minutes after Roe v. Wade was overturned, her home state of Missouri became the first to ban abortion.
Cori has continually shown up for Missourians in this fight. She was arrested outside the Supreme Court protesting for abortion rights. She released a 20-point roadmap to protecting reproductive freedom and a support hub for those looking for assistance.
She fearlessly stood before the House Oversight Committee and told her personal experience with abortion after being sexually assaulted at age 17. She even embarked on a statewide tour earlier this month to rally and spread the message that reproductive rights are not up for debate.
As a nurse, mother, pastor, and activist, Cori knows this is not a fight Democrats can give up on.
One of our most urgent missions this November is to elect pro-choice Democrats to Congress to codify the protections of Roe on the federal level. We are fighting to protect a person’s right to bodily autonomy and re-electing Cori in Missouri brings us one step closer to being able to do just that.
