Mikie wanted to email you before tonight’s debate -- it’s her first of the election! -- but she’s busy with debate prep, so I promised her I’d touch base with you before she takes the stage tonight.

I’m hoping we can count on your support before the debate, and I want to tell you why it’s so important.

I was just in the room with Mikie prepping and I can tell you she’s fired up. I’m confident she can out-debate Paul DeGroot any day of the week, but there’s something else I’m worried about.

And that’s all the money being spent on races like ours.

The NRCC added our opponent to its list of targeted races and Chris Christie endorsed him. They know our race is a must-win for the House majority and according to a recent CNN report, “A Republican wave in the House is still quite possible.”

It’s crucial we reach our fundraising targets -- including tonight’s $11,000 goal. Any amount you can pitch in would mean a lot as Mikie gets ready to hit the debate stage.
