If my opponent can’t be bothered to put in the work to show up for Arkansans as a candidate, that’s exactly how she’ll behave in the Governor's seat.

Team,

We’ve got less than 20 days until Arkansans choose their next governor, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, my GOP opponent, has only released a couple of measly plans.

It’s starting to seem like that’s because she hasn’t developed her vision for Arkansas yet — outside of her divisive and extremist values. In fact, after we outlined our plans to increase the state’s minimum teacher salary a couple months ago, all she could offer was that she’d be unveiling her proposed reforms in the “coming months.” And unfortunately, in this week’s debate, we didn’t learn anything new about her plans for Arkansas’ future.

Newsflash: Election Day is less than three weeks away. If my opponent can’t be bothered to put in the work to show up for Arkansans as a candidate, that’s exactly how she’ll behave in the Governor's seat. Either she’s fine maintaining the status quo or she knows her beliefs are so unpopular that if she says them out loud, she’d risk losing a large chunk of her supporters.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders might be low on ideas, but we’ve got plenty — and they’re pretty popular all across Arkansas. Help us bring them to life once we defeat her this November with your first donation today.

On the flip side, our campaign for governor has been centered around the Promise of Arkansas: the Faith that together we can address our challenges, the Hope that unified we make space for all Arkansans to live out our unique potential, and the Hard Work of change in our souls and our lives.

That promise begins by spreading PB&J across the state — expanding Preschool to all families, providing affordable Broadband to every home, and designing economic development that creates high-wage Jobs. We’ve developed our policies over time, traveling across the state twice now to speak directly with Arkansans about their most pressing concerns and how we can immediately address them.

We are committed to changing what it means to campaign in Arkansas, just as we’re committed to building an enduring and resilient grassroots movement that’ll last well past November’s election. Changing the conversation in Arkansas won’t happen overnight, but I’m in this for the long haul, and I’m sure you are too.

My Republican opponent seems to believe she can win this election while barely trying, and our people deserve so much better. If you can, please donate $5 right away so that we can make history and create a better Arkansas for future generations.

Let’s go!
