2019 was a banner year for us, friend. We spent the past 12 months digging up and documenting an astounding amount of corruption across Washington, DC and the Trump administration. This year, we:
- Successfully helped pressure Labor Secretary Alex Acosta to resign for giving child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein a “sweetheart deal” while serving as the U.S. attorney for southern Florida
- Uncovered stunning video from a payday lending industry webinar, where executives boasted that their huge contributions to Trump’s re-election campaign bought them access to his administration and influence over policymaking
- Exposed how a troubled for-profit college that Education Secretary Betsy DeVos saved from the federal recognition blacklist still has major compliance problems
- Uncovered CFPB official Paul Watkins’s ties to an anti-LGBTQ hate group and how he could have the power to exempt businesses from anti-discrimination laws
