John, I’ve seen firsthand how our nonpartisan pro-voter volunteers make a difference at the polls.
Helping a first-time voter find their polling place and prepare the identification they need. Walking a non-English speaker through the voting process. And when they needed to, I’ve even seen these volunteers support voters in casting their vote despite harassment by right-wing ballot bullies.
It’s absolutely imperative we are able to field as many of these dedicated Election Protectors this November as possible — and we can only do that with your help.
I know I’d rather a voter have someone trusted and friendly to help them navigate Election Day — like one of our trained, nonpartisan volunteers — than risk having no one at all to help voters understand their rights and cast their ballot safely and securely.
Without our immediate action, voters could be left vulnerable to whatever the Big Lie conspiracy theorists throw at them. And that’s exactly what these anti-voter extremists want: for us to fail to get the resources we need, forcing us to cut back what ought to be a historic voter protection effort.
But if Common Cause members like you can step up today, we have a chance to make the 2022 elections not only count, but inspire something unique and powerful.
You see, our nonpartisan Election Protection volunteers don’t just prevent bad things from happening — they also bring civic joy to voters at polling places.
And, John, that’s a strategy that cuts right to the heart of these ballot bullies’ schemes. They want to make our elections scary, chaotic, and untrustworthy. But you and I know the fact that we choose our own leaders in this country isn’t just our civic duty — it’s something worth celebrating.
I’m hoping I can count on you to help us bring civic joy this November, and build a more resilient, stronger democracy where people from all walks of life are welcomed and appreciated.
Can you rush your Protect The Vote 2022 contribution of $3 or more today?
Thanks for all you do,
