Folks – you may not know this, but I was born in Dublin, Ireland. And out of innumerable brilliant and wise Irish sayings, one of my personal favorites is Giorraíonn beirt bóthar, or “two shorten the road.”

It’s a sentiment that resonates with me now because no election is ever won alone. It takes thousands of supporters giving their time and donations to go the distance.

I learned that back in 2018, when this grassroots team came together and helped me become the first Democrat to win IL-06 in almost half a century.

That victory wasn’t a fluke. The same grassroots energy powered us to victory again in 2020.
