I'm taking a break from some projects to send you this email because
democracy is on the ballot in this November's election.

If we care about climate, abortion access, gun laws, and economic justice,
we need democracy to survive.

CNN reports 11 states have election deniers as the Republican nominee for
Secretary of State, key officials who will count the votes in 2024 and
beyond. In Arizona, a literal insurrectionist is running and may win.

Donations are needed so Secretary of State candidates can ensure that
people who come out to vote Democratic remember to vote down ballot for
positions that can save our democracy.

[ [link removed] ]Please (please!) chip in what you can to Democratic Secretary of State
candidates in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Georgia, Colorado, and Minnesota.
And the PCCC's work to elect them.

If Trump's allies win in those 6 states, the entire 2024 election is in
peril.

It pains me to think of my kids growing up in such a broken democracy. And
it pains me that some voters may actually show up to vote to vote
Democratic in 2022 -- but not vote down ballot.
