When Wisconsin Public Radio asked Republican Sen. Ron Johnson (WI) this week about his votes against gun safety laws, Johnson blamed "welfare benefits" for driving gun violence -- and then said the solution is "renewed faith!"

The stunned interviewer responded: "But what does that have to do with guns?"

Incredibly, the most recent YouGov poll shows Johnson with a 1 point lead over Mandela Barnes -- which at this point basically means this race is coming down to turnout. It’s all about Get Out The Vote.
