I’m a single mom, a teacher, an Army Veteran, and I’m running to be the first Black woman veteran ever elected to Congress. I led my soldiers for 29 years through 4 missions to serve on the front lines and defend our Country. I raised my hand to swear an oath to the Constitution and defend our freedoms – and now our Democracy is at stake.

If my extreme Republican opponent Andrew Garbarino has his way, women will no longer have access to basic medical care; our seniors won’t be able to access Social Security; Medicare will be on the chopping block.
