With Election Day right around the corner, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy just renewed his promise to kick Ilhan off the Foreign Affairs Committee if the GOP takes back the House.

As a champion for human rights everywhere and a fighter for a more just, peaceful world, we need Ilhan’s voice on the Foreign Affairs Committee.

But Ilhan’s work is a direct threat to McCarthy and House Republicans’ agenda to undermine human rights and invest in endless wars. That’s why the GOP is so hell-bent on taking back the House and removing her from any position of power.

If Republicans flip the House, they will hand McCarthy the Speaker’s gavel and do everything they can to silence Ilhan and reverse our progress. We’ve come too far to let the GOP stop us now.
