Hi John – early voting begins today, and I just received some tough news: A brand-new poll from CBS News shows me 1 point behind my Trump-endorsed opponent – 48% to 49%.

This comes as Mitch McConnell and his super PAC are bombarding the airwaves with more than $25 million of attack ads against me. Now, Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight is reporting this seat is the most likely to flip – giving Mitch McConnell the one seat he needs to retake Senate control.

We simply cannot afford to be outraised, outspent and drowned out on the airwaves as voters are casting their ballots – not when polling has us in a statistical tie.
