Your Tax-Deductible Donation

Dear Friends of 350 Chicago

One of the activities that I’ve found the most rewarding over the last decade has been volunteering. I’ve spent time working at animal shelters, food pantries, blood donation centers, and with various other community organizations. By my mid-20s, though, I started dedicating most of my volunteering time to the environmental nonprofit 350.org as my outlet for trying to make the world a better place.

The climate crisis is the defining issue of our time. Our dependence on fossil fuels and non-sustainable energy practices in the transportation, agriculture, industry, and residential sectors is causing devastation to coastal communities and will ultimately have negative impacts on every human being on the planet. That is why it is so important for us to fight climate change and democratize access to renewable energy.

As we close out 2019, I invite you to join me and the rest of 350 Chicago in a few ways. We welcome your tax deductible donations to help support us in the struggle to revoke the monetary influence and political clout that fossil fuel industries wield in our city and our nation.

It’s easy to become overwhelmed at the scale of the problem facing us, but we become greater than the sum of our parts when we organize. That is why I joined 350 Chicago and now serve as one of its board members. This group gives me a way to create positive change in the world and engage with people at the grassroots level.

We would also love to see you at one of our upcoming monthly meetings in 2020, starting January 4th. Come out and meet with fellow climate activists in a setting designed around taking action and building community.

Wishing everyone happy holidays and a great start to your new year.

In solidarity,

Kyle Burkybile
