John, I’ve learned that we cannot be silent when faced with injustice.

President Trump and his Administration have disregarded our Constitution, and each and every one of us must decide how we will respond to this injustice.

Nancy continues to courageously stand up to Trump and hold him accountable -- and our entire Democratic Caucus has stood arm-in-arm with her. Our oaths call upon us to do so.

Nancy and I need you to stand with us, John. Will you chip in before midnight to support our fight for justice in Congress?

I have witnessed great injustices in my time.

Decades have passed since I fought for desegregation during Freedom Summer; spoke at the March on Washington and heard Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. share his dream with the country; and marched in Selma for African Americans’ right to vote. Decades have passed, but the work is not over.

Trump’s actions threaten the democracy that I fought to ensure for every American -- no matter their race, religion, or creed -- and we cannot wait a moment longer to take action.

We are 48 hours from the most important FEC deadline yet. This is our opportunity to replace Trump and restore our democracy. Stand with me and Nancy and chip in before midnight.
