It is with great pleasure and honor to invite you to join the Muslim Community Network – MCN, in its celebration of 20 years of service to the New York and Muslim American community. For 20 years, MCN has been at the front lines of advocating for the needs of Muslim New Yorkers, whether that has been through having the Muslim religious holidays of Eid added to the NYC school calendar, or by introducing halal/kosher meals in NYC public schools, or to ensure that Muslim New Yorkers feel safe in the advent of surveillance and mistargeting.
 
The event will take place on November 22, 2022, from 6 to 9 pm at the Midtown Hilton Hotel. MCN will celebrate 20 years of providing community support, resources, and programs to strengthen our collective power, the understanding of Muslims between faiths, and our work to educate and enrich the next generation. We will also kick-off MCN’s capital campaign to create the first Muslim Community Center in New York City. With backing from public officials, this new center will provide space to gather for youth and family activities; enjoy Muslim arts/culture/film; participate in sports and wellness programming; engage in civic responsibilities, and attend community events and celebrations.

This year, we're honoring leaders in three categories: 

1. Dr. Craig Considine in the Interfaith Leadership Category 
2. Dr. Syra Madad in the Trailblazer Category as a Muslim medical professional who was at the head of the pandemic and star of the Netflix Show, PANDEMIC. 
3. and Imam Latif and Shaykh Jaffer from the ICNYU for their Sunni-Shiite model 
4. Our host is Omar Regan, Founder of Halalywood. 

We would be deeply honored for you to participate in our event, and celebrate an evening of gratitude with your friends, neighbors, and allies.  Our event attracts over 200 Muslim leaders in business, finance, law, real estate, and government.
