In a moment I’m going to ask you to donate $20.20 or more to my campaign. But first, I want to explain why this is so important and why I’m in this fight.

I came to Congress as part of a historic class of freshmen representatives -- with the most women and diverse members ever. But, more importantly, many of us had never before held public office. We ran because we were called to repair this country. We were called to bring government back to the people.

For the past 200 days, we have passed legislation to raise the minimum wage, cut healthcare costs and clean up corruption. We have so much more to accomplish, which is why we have to be prepared for a tough and expensive race ahead. That is going to take every last one of us to come out on top.

Now that you know who I am and what I’m fighting for, can I count on you to donate $20.20 or more to my campaign? Every dollar counts as we face right-wing special interests who are gearing up to spend millions and millions of dollars to flip this seat red.
