Hey John,
Republicans in Congress have introduced an extreme national version of Florida's Don't Say Gay bill. It defines just being gay or trans as explicit, and would rip federal funding from anything that involves or includes LGBTQ+ people like me.
This is homophobic bullshit, and if I'm elected I'll fight to stop it in Congress. This is just the latest move in a hateful effort to go after gay and trans people.
They don't want people like us in public life, but I'm not going anywhere.
I'll never give up the fight for equal rights, and with your help, I'll be the first Black, gay woman ever elected to Congress. Will you help me beat homophobe Mark Green and fight for LGBTQIA+ equality by chipping in to our campaign today?

People like the Republicans who back this national Don't Say Gay bill, and my transphobic opponent Mark Green, have a clear, homophobic playbook.
Their plan is to divide us — gay and straight, cis and trans, Black and white — so they can keep funneling money to the people at the top. That's why the Tennessee GOP passed hateful laws going after trans kids, that's why Mark Green spreads transphobic conspiracies, and that's why the GOP wants to go after LGBTQ+ people nationwide.
We know better. We know that we can beat hate with solidarity, and that our government can actually work for working people, not go after the most vulnerable among us.
That's what this campaign is all about. If you're with me, will you make a contribution to power our movement today?
Thank you, good people! ✊
