After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade at the end of June, “pre-Roe statutes” are going into effect across the United States.

At least 13 states have moved to virtually ban all abortions in their states - in some instances with NO exceptions for rape or incest. Last month, a judge in Arizona allowed a ban on abortion from 1901 to go into effect. In Texas, a frontier-era statute dating back to the creation of the state’s penal code in 1857 was reintroduced and could soon be enforceable.
