Friends, did you see David's email on the GOP's new national "Don't Say Gay" bill?
As chair of the Equality Caucus, David is on the frontlines of the fight to make sure bigoted legislation like this bill never gets passed into law.
But the far-right is pushing more and more, and control of Congress will be decided in just a few weeks.
Friends, can you chip in today to keep Democrats in the majority and anti-LGBTQ+ bills off of the House floor? [[link removed]] You can read more in David's email below.

Friends,
Republicans have introduced a national "Don't Say Gay" bill into Congress, and I'm appalled.
According to NBC News:
" The sweeping legislation would affect all federally funded facilities and programs , which would include public libraries, federally funded schools, military bases and hospitals. It would prohibit schools, for example, from providing sex education or library books that include LGBTQ topics to children under 10. It would also bar public libraries from using funds to host Drag Story Hour events — a national program started in 2015 in which drag performers read children’s books to kids."
KEEP REPUBLICANS AND THEIR BIGOTRY OUT OF THE MAJORITY » [secure.actblue.com/donate/DCRI-01-Email-oct2022-FR-oct?refcode=E18947-20221022-DontSayGayBillFWD-SB-LGBTQRights-RegTemplate-NA-EG&amount=25]Let me be clear: Each and every child deserves to go to school in a safe and validating environment. Attempts to invalidate our children, block LGBTQ+ educators from teaching them, or sabotage curricula designed to protect and nurture them are dishonest attacks meant to empower the far-right as it continues to pick culture wars as pretext for trying to grow its power and restrict our civil rights.
This rhetoric is dangerous. It's both harmful to our civil discourse and directly harming LGBTQ+ children who endure stigma and, in states with similar laws already in effect, the ramifications of this policy.
Friends, the far-right is showing us how it would govern if given the chance. We cannot allow a party driven by such shameless bigotry to win a majority in Congress — but with only weeks until Election Day, it's looking like they may do just that. Can you please chip in what you can today to keep the House blue? Every dollar makes a difference. [[link removed]]
