Every American should be able to vote safely, securely, and, most importantly, free of intimidation. But after recent elections, extremists driven by conspiracy theories about voter fraud and the 2020 election are showing up at polling places with guns, threatening poll workers and our right to vote.

Let’s be clear — this is voter suppression, plain and simple.

Voter intimidation is against the law. And armed voter intimidation is not just undemocratic; it's deadly. More firearms will not make us safer, especially in public spaces. The mere presence of firearms at or around polling places can intimidate voters and interfere with the orderly counting of mail-in ballots.
But right now, only six states and Washington, D.C., restrict firearms at polling places, leaving hundreds of thousands of Americans at risk of armed voter intimidation. That’s why I’m reaching out today, John.

Fortunately, there’s a bill in Congress right now that would BAN firearms at polling places and safeguard our democratic process. But with just over 2 weeks left until November 8, we have no time to waste. Please rush a message to your representative urging them to vote YES on the Vote Without Fear Act to keep guns out of the voting booth. [[link removed]]

Thank you for taking action alongside Brady. No one in America should ever be threatened with guns while exercising their right to vote, and our lawmakers need to ensure that. [[link removed]]

We're Gearing Up for the 2022 Midterm Elections!

Gun violence prevention is on the ballot this year. A new poll found that gun violence is the top-ranking issue for young people in America right now. And with midterm elections right around the corner, we’re doing everything in our power to ensure Americans are ready to vote.

Last week, Brady and Team ENOUGH activists mailed over 10,000 postcards to voters, encouraging them to vote for gun violence prevention champions.

This effort wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated Brady and Team ENOUGH grassroots activists. Together, we can protect our communities from senseless violence and save lives by electing candidates who prioritize sensible gun laws. Want to get involved in our get-out-the-vote efforts?
