SBA Announces New Small Business Investment Company Reforms

This week, SBA announced new?proposed reforms to the Small Business Investment Company program designed to reduce financial barriers and increase access and diversity in the U.S. small business investment ecosystem.

The proposed rule was placed in the Federal Register on October 19, 2022. Comments are due December 19, 2022, and proposed reforms are planned to take effect with a final rule to be published in the coming new year.
