THE BRIEF:

  • In the midst of the recession, hardworking Americans are facing another rude awakening—their 401(k)s are now down 25% on average.

  • Federal oil leasing under Joe Biden has dropped by 97% compared to the first 19 months of former President Trump’s presidency.

Congressman Carter awards ten local veterans the Congressional Commendation Award.

8TH ANNUAL CONGRESSIONAL VETERAN COMMENDATION CEREMONY

Every year, I honor local veterans who have not only served our nation but have also gone above and beyond to serve our community with the Congressional Veteran Commendation (CVC). This year, I had the privilege of honoring ten TX-31 veterans with the CVC. These veterans dedicated their lives to serving our nation. After their time in the military came to an end, they began selflessly serving their communities. I am thankful for their service to this great nation and honored to recognize these heroes with this award.

Representative Carter presents three local students with service awards.

LOCAL STUDENTS’ COMMITMENT TO SERVICE

I presented three local students, Manning, Stratton, and Christianna with Congressional Certificates and Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for their dedication to improving our community. These students each volunteered over 250 hours with local nonprofits to qualify for these awards. I am thoroughly impressed by these young people’s servant hearts. Thank you for your commitment to our community and congratulations on this achievement! I know you have bright futures ahead of you.

A NATION THAT’S SAFE

Americans deserve a nation that is safe. That means securing the border, protecting public safety, and defending America’s national security. That is Republicans’ commitment to America.
