The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
I hope everyone had a great week. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week!
Protecting Arizona’s Water Supply
Protecting Arizona's water future means bringing everyone to the table and finding innovative solutions.
I’d like to thank Arizona Water Company for an incredible briefing and tour of their East Valley facilities. Arizona Water Company (AWC) operates 24 water systems in more than 30 communities throughout Arizona. They also opened a new Apache Junction office last November.
We discussed the Colorado River shortage, state and federal water policy, floodwater diversion, desalination, and AWC’s work with municipalities and regional water networks to prepare for future growth in the East Valley.
I also had the opportunity to receive a briefing from the Salt River Project—an Arizona electric power and water utility company. SRP officials provided me with new knowledge on watershed and power issues as well as updates on ongoing projects.
Finally, I met with Central Arizona Project officials to discuss updates on Colorado River negotiations and how I could be of help from the congressional level regarding reclamation authorities.
Make no mistake, I will continue to make sure Arizona’s water supply is plentiful and accessible to all Arizonans.
Touring the Midwest Food Bank Distribution Facility
I toured the Midwest Food Bank (MFB) distribution facility in Gilbert. This facility supports 300 nonprofit, faith-based food banks across the state of Arizona.
MFB officials indicated that while food banks are seeing a 25% increase in individuals seeking assistance, input costs have nearly doubled – largely attributable to President Biden’s inflation.
I’m very appreciative of MFB’s work in the Fifth Congressional District and I’m grateful to have learned more about its impact on Arizonans.
Supporting the Gateway Airport in Mesa
I visited the Gateway Airport and its new air traffic control tower in Mesa. Upon entering office in 2017, I worked with my Arizona delegation colleagues and local officials to help secure a federal grant for Gateway to update its fifty-year-old tower, which was woefully inadequate to serve the nearly 2 million passengers passing through the airport. Our advocacy paid off in 2020, when the Department of Transportation awarded the grant.
The Gateway team has made significant progress in expanding its airport and has made the East Valley a critical hub for travel, trade, and aeronautical innovation.
Many thanks to my friends Ryan Smith, Brian O’Neill, and the Gateway team for the insightful briefing and tour.
Strengthening Japan-U.S. Relations
I was honored to host Kenko Sone, Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles, and Honorary Consul of Japan in Phoenix, Kelly Moeur, to discuss how Arizona and Japan can strengthen economic cooperation and a continued overall partnership.
I am grateful for their visit and the knowledge that I will take back to Congress.
Letters and Legislation
Letters Cosigned
Letter to AG Garland regarding the Department of Justice’s plan to enact Executive Order 14019 to “promote voter registration and voter participation.”
Letter advocating against the requirement of Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) for federal projects worth at least $35 million.
My America First Contract
America has had enough of the disastrous leftist policies of the Biden Administration. Our nation is in desperate need of a new action plan for Republicans to follow in January.
My America First Contract is an outline to reduce inflation and strengthen the economy, secure our border, restore transparency and parental choice in education, reduce violent crime and preserve the rule of law, restore election integrity, break up Big Tech, put America First in foreign, energy, and trade policies, and reinstate good government practices.
In addition to achieving these 8 goals, the plan calls on conducting enhanced oversight and using available leverages to stop the abuse of power from President Biden in 2023. I will introduce legislation supporting each area of the plan within the first 100 days of the next Congressional term and will work with my colleagues to bring that legislation up for consideration in the House.
The full contract may be read here.
Alien Invasion Border Documentary
Last month, I released my new border documentary titled Alien Invasion. The 30-minute documentary features footage from private ranches along the border, the Darien Gap in Panama, and interviews with members of Congress, Border Patrol, local and state law enforcement, and much more. It addresses how President Biden’s border crisis began, its consequences, and solutions to address the crisis.
The border documentary may be watched here.

She is an expert witness, a historian, and a former curator of the Cody Firearms Museum. She also testified in 2021 before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, in a hearing titled: Stop Gun Violence: Ghost Guns.

Top Tweets of the Week
Top-Ed of the Week
This week, American Greatness published my column on how criminal cartels have more operational control of the U.S. border than the Biden Administration.
Cartel violence is rampant along the U.S.-Mexico border and is leading to death, drugs, and destruction.

Constituent Victories of the Week
A constituent contacted me after his inability to obtain replacement medals related to his deceased father’s military service for over a year. After my inquiry, National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) notified me that the medals are on their way to the constituent.
A constituent was scheduled to have an interview with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) at the Phoenix Field Office, but USCIS canceled twice with no explanation. After my inquiry, I was able to schedule the constituent a new appointment with USCIS .

Definition of the Week
While smugly eating an ice cream cone this week, President Biden asserted that his economy is “strong as hell.” This couldn’t be further from the truth.
The latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) data shows that core inflation has reached a new four-decade high. A new analysis released this week found that the average American 401(k) has plummeted by $34,000 in one year under the President’s policies. Since January 2021, the prices of eggs (98%), gasoline (68%), and milk (21%) have skyrocketed. Reckless spending is one of the main factors driving America’s historic inflation and it must be stopped.
Inspired by Joe Biden’s economic remarks, here’s the definition of the week:
“Strong as hell”: A phrase used by President Biden to gaslight the American public and distract them from his disastrous economy.
