Prayers for Nespelem

I am extremely disheartened to learn about an active shooter in the Nespelem and Keller areas.

Residents, please stay safe and follow local emergency services' directives. Displaced families are welcomed to the Lake Roosevelt Gym. I am working with the Colville Tribes and stand ready to assist.

My prayers are with all those affected.

Working for Central Washington

This week, I traveled throughout Central Washington to meet with members of our communities to hear about their needs and discuss how I can best represent them in Congress.

Meeting with the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

The Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce works to empower, connect, and celebrate the innovative and hard-working men and women of Central Washington. They host events regularly for members of the community, highlighting local businesses, hosting networking events, community meetings, and much more! I was pleased to join their luncheon this week to discuss ideas on how to revamp our local economies with several local leaders.

Pictured is Pasco's City Manager Dave Zabell who is retiring at the end of the month. Dave was honored at the luncheon for his dedication and service to Pasco.

Thank you Dave for your leadership and service!

Meeting with members of our communities and the local officials helps me understand your priorities so I can go back to D.C. and fight for you.

Columbia Distributing: Providing Great-Tasting Beverages to Central Washington and Beyond

Central Washington produces more than a third of hops worldwide and has some of the best breweries, distillers, and distributing centers.

Columbia Distributing has been distributing since 1935, with locations throughout Central Washington.

I toured their warehouse this week to see the new technologies they use to efficiently ship out their products. They have a range of brands and products, with local brews to fan favorites, and they have a long list to suit every taste. Keep up the important work!

Veterans' Stammtisch

Central Washington is home to thousands of veterans, and I am honored to represent them in Congress. They have made countless sacrifices for our country and now it is our turn to serve them.

I was honored to attend a Veterans' Stammtisch in Richland this week to hear directly from our heroes.

Thank you for your service to our nation—we are forever indebted to you.

Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce: State of the Cities Luncheon

I always enjoy meeting with our community's local officials. This week, I had the pleasure of joining the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce: State of the Cities Luncheon to hear from Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and West Richland's Mayors to hear about the priorities and initiatives they're working on.

Working for a Strong Economy

Inflation is crippling American pocketbooks, a direct result of House Democrats' reckless tax-and-spend policies. I am committed to reducing inflation and taxes to bring back fiscal order and provide relief for Central Washington families and small businesses.

The best way to kickstart our economy is to reopen domestic energy production to lower gas and food costs and create new jobs. This will put money back into American wallets while securing our economy. Come November, House Republicans are ready to do just that

Be on Alert for Fentanyl “Candy” this Halloween

Since August 2022, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and its law enforcement partners have found brightly colored fentanyl and fentanyl pills, nicknamed “rainbow fentanyl” in 26 states, including much of the Pacific Northwest. The DEA has already seized more than 10.2 million fentanyl pills and 980 pounds of fentanyl powder from May through September of this year—the equivalent of 36 million lethal doses. And that was before “rainbow fentanyl” hit the market.

I want to encourage parents in Central Washington to stay on the alert and make sure to double-check their children’s candy this year—not just for Halloween, but for the foreseeable future. While it is very unfortunate that families in our communities can no longer solely focus on the fun traditions of Halloween, it is important to stay vigilant and keep our children safe.
