When Hurricane Ian struck Florida earlier this month, our Emergency Response Teams were deployed from all over the country to respond to the needs of children and families. I wanted to share what we were able to accomplish because of your support.
My main job on the ground was distributing Child Care Packages filled with items to support children whose homes had been damaged or destroyed.

A cuddly friend to relieve anxiety

Thanks to supporters like you, we’ve delivered hundreds of these kits to kids in Florida, some of whom lost everything they own in the storm. The smiles on their faces when they open the packs makes everything we do worth it. But this work isn’t over – with many schools closed or even destroyed, there is much to do in making sure kids are cared for during this time.
