DEBATE: Governor Walz Demonstrated Leadership and Experience In Commanding Debate Performance
Governor Walz and Scott Jensen held a debate on Tuesday night, in which Governor Walz delivered a commanding performance. He showed Minnesotans why he’s the best candidate to lead Minnesota for four more years. During the debate, Governor Walz spoke about his “One Minnesota” vision and his commitment to finding workable solutions to move the state forward.
In addition, Governor Walz highlighted Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Jensen’s dangerous agenda for Minnesota and his extreme positions that would drag the state backwards. Jensen’s plan to turn public schools into private schools and defund education in favor of cutting taxes for the wealthy would spell disaster for the state. Governor Walz reminded voters that while Minnesotans were making sacrifices during the pandemic to keep their families and neighbors safe, Jensen was busy spreading dangerous misinformation about the vaccine and disproven treatments like ivermectin.

We’ve had another busy week! Governor Walz kicked off last weekend with a panel discussion with SEIU members and organizers in Minneapolis.
On Saturday, after the Pheasant Opener in Worthington, Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan attended an event hosted by the El Movimiento DFL Caucus. Between excellent food, jarritos, and music, we heard from the Governor and Lt. Governor, State House candidate Maria Isa, and many more.
Sunday was a jam-packed day with the Governor, Lt. Governor, and First Lady doing events across the metro. Most notable was the Reproductive Rights Door Knock where First Lady Walz gave an impassioned speech about reproductive freedoms and supporting pro-choice candidates, followed by a Reproductive Rights Rally held at Utepils Brewing in Minneapolis. |
