Growing up, I never thought I’d run for President or speak to millions of people on national television.

I was raised by a single mom. We struggled just to get by.

The only reason I knew there was a Governor’s house in my hometown was because I delivered newspapers to it.

Now as Governor, my wife and I are raising our three kids in that very same house.

I got my shot at the American Dream. But for a whole lot of Americans, that opportunity no longer exists -- and for far too many, it never has.

On Tuesday, I’m going to that debate stage to share my plan to give everyone a fair shot at a better life. Together, we’re going to make government work for everyday people again.
