Hi, friend. It's Jaime Harrison, chair of the DNC. With Floridians already taking the opportunity to vote early, I'm reaching out with a critical update for top Democrats like you:

Val Demings is our best chance to win in Florida and expand our Senate majority. If she wins, Senate Democrats might finally have enough votes to make progress on everything from reproductive freedom to voting rights to gun safety. 

Here's the catch: With just 18 days until Election Day, four polls show her either tied or just 1 point behind – and she's being outspent by the GOP in key areas of Florida. Val Demings can take the lead in the final stretch of this race – but she needs a massive uptick in grassroots fundraising soon. That's where you come in, friend. 

I promised Val Demings I would help her raise $250,000 before midnight to fund phone banking, canvassing, digital ads and TV ads – every avenue she can use to reach voters before the final ballots are cast. It’s an ambitious goal, but if everyone reading this email gives just $5, I know we can reach it, no problem.

So, if you want Democrats to expand their control of the Senate, I have to ask: Can I count on you to donate $5  – or whatever you can spare before midnight – to elect Val Demings?

Val Demings is exactly the kind of leader we need in the Senate. Growing up as the daughter of a maid and a janitor in the segregated South, no one gave her a chance to do much of anything – but today, she's working to make sure everyone can achieve their American dream like she has. 

Everyone knows Val Demings is a better candidate than Marco Rubio – a career politician who has one of the worst attendance records in the Senate. That's why Republicans are PANICKING that they'll lose this race and why GOP super PACs are pouring millions into attack ads to prop up Rubio and defeat Val Demings. 

In a race that's polling in the margin of error, Val Demings needs every dollar she can get to set the record straight with voters. If she misses her $250,000 goal tonight, it will give Marco Rubio the opening he needs to surge ahead – and that will spell trouble for our Senate majority on Election Day.

Please, friend, Val Demings needs one final surge of grassroots support to win this close race – so she's counting on you more than ever: Will you donate $5 right now to elect Val Demings, flip Florida blue and win Democratic Senate control?
