The truth is, Tom Emmer doesn’t want to debate Jeanne because he doesn’t want to be embarrassed by his abysmal voting record against women’s rights and his dangerous views about the January 6th insurrection, saying it was just “legitimate political discourse.”
Having a civil debate is a fundamental aspect of campaigning. If you’re not willing to let the people hear your stances on the issues that matter to them, maybe you shouldn’t be in public office.
