As MAGA extremists with false claims of “parents’ rights” attack our schools, The Six PAC’s School Board Fund is providing grassroots-funded support to pro-equality candidates who will FIGHT BACK.
Today, we’re proud to highlight 4 more candidates we’re helping to GET OUT THE VOTE!
We’ve raised over $20,000 this year from grassroots defenders of our schools. Donate to support progressives for school board here.
Our first round of candidates is fighting back against right-wing attacks.
ART REYES (Mott Community College, MI) - Art, the current vice-chair of the board, has enhanced student services to improve access for underserved students and promoted apprenticeship opportunities. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are top priorities for him.
NICHOLAS HAUGEN (Bloomfield Hills, MI ) - Nick’s 20 years of teaching experience and his passion for helping students achieve their goals motivated him to run. He knows the threat to an equitable education for all children is real, and he will fight to stop book bans and selective history.
JOHN PAUL TORRES (Waterford School District, CA) - John has served on the school board before with a long list of accomplishments, including the Waterford STEM Academy. He understands that for a child to have a successful school experience, the whole child has to be nurtured, nutritionally, emotionally, and academically.
STACY ROUSE (Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, CA) - Stacy has career experience in education and conflict resolution. She understands the importance of providing a safe, inclusive environment so students will thrive.
These are just 4 of the over 2 dozen candidates we’re supporting this year from the Six PAC’s School Board Fund – all made possible by thousands of grassroots donors like you.
Help us fight back against a deluge of right-wing dark money trying to buy our school boards. Donate to help us save America’s public education!
The children are the future.
