This is how we can build an economy that works for everyone, not just the folks at the top.

Michael Bennet

Last week, I joined the Pod Save America podcast to talk about our race and my plans to build an economy that grows for everyone, not just the top 10%. We also talked about the pain too many Americans are feeling right now — that no matter how hard they work, they struggle to get ahead.

The truth is that our economy is tilted in favor of the wealthy and well connected, and we need to make working people a priority again. Here are some steps I laid out on the Pod:

  1. We need to reverse the Trump Tax Cuts that delivered huge tax breaks to those at the very top, while leaving hardworking families further behind.

  2. We need to give tax cuts to working people — like reinstating the expanded Child Tax Credit, which cut child poverty in half last year, and passing the earned income tax credit, which helps workers that don’t have children.

  3. We need to pass more policies like those in the CHIPS Act and Inflation Reduction Act — policies that bring manufacturing jobs back to America and strengthen our supply chains.

  4. We need to invest in renewable energies that will create jobs, lower costs, and reduce emissions for all Coloradans.

I know we can make America a better place — a place of more opportunity — for every single American. I know it because we’ve already begun.

Together, we secured historic investments in Colorado’s roads, bridges, and waterways. We cut childhood poverty in half by passing the Child Tax Credit. We made the largest federal investment ever in reducing America’s climate emissions, and we passed the first bipartisan gun reform in decades.

You, me, and my Democratic colleagues are getting things done and making things better. We can’t allow Republicans to roll that progress back. We need to protect and expand our Democratic Senate majority.

That all starts here in Colorado — a state CNN, NPR, and Roll Call all rank among the most likely to flip next month.

So, can you please chip in today to re-elect me and keep Colorado blue? I can’t win this race to keep fighting for working families without you →

As long as I am Colorado’s Senator, I will never stop fighting to create an economy that works for everyone — not just those at the top. I’m humbly asking for your help to keep serving Coloradans.

Thank you for your support,

Michael
